Night of the opening. You know what they
say about karma? Here I am standing up in front of the "crowd" at the opening,
with the other artists in the show. One of the directors of culture of
Romainville is talking about me and my work and I have no idea what he
is saying about me because it is all in French. Thank God this little cripple,
8-year-old attention hog decided to very s-l-o-w-l-y and n-e-e-d-i-l-y
hobble on his crutches from the back of the stage all the way to the front
- to entertain me and the rest of the crowd! Now THAT'S entertainment!
Awwww... look at the expression on this little Eve Harrington's face! Kudos
to Guillaume for the quick trigger finger on my camera. Literally, I'm
not kidding, about two seconds after this photo was taken the kid fell!
No joke. The audience gasped and the director didn't stop talking about
my photos and just kept rambling on and on in French and some kind woman
carted the (smiling) kid off and everyone was paying attention to him and
not the director or me or my work. What a pro this kid was! Damn scene
stealer.
