I think the lady in “Poltergeist” is Emily Grearson from Faulkner’s “A Rose for Emily”, but maybe thats not what your saying.
Mark, I’m typing this from a nurse’s station at the local emergency room. As soon as I read “Judy Garland as Mrs. Robinson” on your blog I must have fainted, falling forward at my desk, my head slamming down onto my keyboard, where it remained for a long time as the sparks fluttering out of it (because it short-circuited due to my Dunkin Donuts Cappuccino Coconut Tornado Kahlua Surprise falling out of my hand spilling onto it) burned my face. I’m being treated for numerous tiny, coconut-scented burns covering my face an neck. I might not have even made it if I hadn’t had my email program on at the time. My head landing on the keyboard ended up typing the words “nNNNlllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll” and my head must have been twitching because my face muscles and the sparking Khalua must have opened up my email address book and sent that email to my sister Jeanie. She realized something was wrong because the email did not contain my usual sparkling wit, and called 911. And here I am (I don’t even remember getting here). Now, Judy Garland never played Mrs. Robinson in “The Graduate,” right? That never really actually happened right? It was just an almost but didn’t thing right?
Mr. Nose
I think Drew is one of the few child stars to endure their stardom. Remember her in Firestarter? She was so cute!
